Journey to Curubandé (1 Hour) We’ll drive you to the small town of Curubandé, located at the foothills of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano. This area is famous for its unique rock formations and turquoise rivers.
River & Canyon Expedition (3 Hours) This is not just a hike; it’s an adventure! Guided by a local expert, you’ll hike through the forest, wade through the river, and swim through natural canyons. The scenery of high rock walls surrounding you is truly breathtaking.
The Hidden Waterfall Discovery After navigating the river and some rock formations, you will reach the magnificent La Leona Waterfall, hidden inside a cave-like canyon. You’ll have plenty of time to swim in the bright blue water and take incredible photos of this natural wonder.
Natural River Pools On the way back, we’ll stop at different natural pools along the Blanco River. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the crystal-clear water and the peace of the surrounding jungle.
Authentic Local Lunch To wrap up the adventure, we’ll enjoy a hearty, traditional Costa Rican lunch at a local spot in Curubandé, featuring fresh ingredients from the region.
